The essentials of South Korea
It is possible to know the best of Korea on this trip that links the dynamic capital, Seoul , with the bustling southern port of Busan, traditional villages and little visited places of interest, to finish on Jeju Island.
- You spend four or five days getting to know Seoul , with a day trip north to the DMZ (ZDC) (Korea Demilitarized Zone). Then he goes east to Chuncheon to ride a bike on the shores of Lake Uiamke and try his famous chicken dish, dakgalbi .
- You eat fish and seafood in Sokcho and then walk through the Seoraksan National Park . Go down the coast to Gangneung to discover buildings from the Joseon period before continuing to Samcheok and entering the huge Hwanseongul cave and Haesindang Park , full of phallic sculptures. Andong pagodas, temples and points of interest are visited before diving into the serene traditional Hahoe village . Continue to Gyeongju , the former capital of the Silla kingdom, where the tombs of the kings, the museum and the cave of Seokguram , will take several days.
- Busan , with its fish market, beaches and trajín, deserves a few days. From there you fly to Jeju-do , where volcanic landscapes are accompanied by leisurely walks.
